Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a Travel Agent and a Travel Curator?

A travel agent primarily acts as a booking intermediary for reservations. They often work with a plan you already have in mind and book components or packages through suppliers.

A travel curator is a designer of experiences. We get to know you on a personal level to understand the style of travel best for you and customize an itinerary based on your unique interests, pace and goals.

Simply put: A travel agent books trips. A travel curator creates journeys.

Does Outland Innovations book my flights and/or accommodations?

This is completely up to you. We are happy to assist with as much or as little as you prefer.

How far before my trip do I need to enlist services?

The more time we have to work together, the more detailed and budget conscious we are able to be. That being said, we recommend you begin planning your trip at least 3 months in advance.

What do I get at the completion of our planning sessions?

Once your one-of-a-kind journey is finalized, you will receive an electronic day-by-day itinerary including all the details of your trip. Daily itineraries may include times, addresses, maps, and even personalized tips!

Can't I just use AI to plan to my trip?

AI can provide some great advice and ideas, but at the end of the day, it can never really know YOU! At Outland Explorations, we take into account your personal travel style, the pace you prefer, and activities for all members or ages of your travel group. We take pride in making sure you are comfortable, stress free, and excited about the journey you are about to embark on. AI also may not know about those little hidden gems that often make your trip truly unique and special.
